Today has been a very emotional day for our family because our little girl is sitting in an orphanage on her birthday but I saw the amount of donations that have poured in to our Reece's Rainbow grant fund account and we can't help but feel so blessed. We are very thankful. Our lives are forever touched by the generosity of strangers and friends...people who care about our little girl. It touches our hearts and we have said prayers for all of you. We might not know who you are but God does. He knows and he heard our thanks and special prayers for each and every one of you.
We wish we could someday return the favor to everyone and maybe someday we will be able to return the favor to some of you. We know there are those who are hoping to adopt a child someday and we want to be there for you as you have been here for us.

I really don't know what to say. We just want her home. Though we haven't met her yet, we miss her and love her.

On Friday March 23, Makayla will be 11 years old. I have to say I'm really sad. I want to hold her and tell her that I love her. Sing "happy birthday" and have her blow out her candles. I want her to be surrounded by people who truly love her. I pray this is her last birthday that she will spend alone. If things go right, it will be. A lot depends on the US government and the her country's government.
