We are very close to the completion of our home study! Yippee! I am so excited! Every step that is completed is one step closer to bringing our little girl home.

God really blessed us with an awesome woman to work with for our home study. She really made us all feel comfortable with her "down to earth" attitude. I walked into the home study believing that I had to be some kind of super mom with a house that looked like it was cleaned by the White House staff. This belief caused me needless stress. I'm a common mom with an average income. I love my children and clean the house. Surprisingly, that's all I need be.

We thank God for His provisions and oversight of our adoption.

  1. Hi! I just found you on the 'new committments' page on RR... I recognize your little one from another blog. Then I noticed you were in Parma, and I had to come leave a message! I live in Columbus, and we have family in Parma. My mom and her whole enormous family grew up in Berea. We still visit several times a year. It's always neat to see familiar places on RR, people who are near us or people we know adopting internationally. I will be following your journey to bring your little one home, and I'd love to hear more about your experiences, as in a few years I will likely be adopting in the same state, and possibly from the same country. Stop by my blog and/or e-mail me - and hopefully soon when I'm in a position to do so I can help you fundraise, if you'll let me. I can't adopt yet due to age, but in the next couple years while I wait, I want to do everything I can!

We're your average family. No fame or riches. We have our ups and downs. When it rains it pours but we always view the glass as half full. We go where our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ leads. We aren't perfect but we always try to do our best.
